This experimental and goofy zine explores the character Gus from the arcade game Crazy Taxi, a fast-paced driving game based in NYC.
Gus is one of the characters players can choose from to play as and his persona in the game is a rough-around-the-edges 42 year old who is known to engage in gambling from time to time.
This zine explores a scenario in which I am a passenger in Gus' taxi and more complicated parts of his personality are revealed over the course of a short ride.
Made using laser printing, risograph printing, and acetate printing, and staple bound.
Hailing the Taxi
This is where I hail the taxi and meet Gus.
Meeting Gus
I note how erratic Gus is driving before asking how he is and telling him my destination.
Gus's Confession
Gus says how he's really feeling.
My Confusion
I become confused and am not sure how to respond.

In this montage, Gus drives quickly through different scenes from the game, using the move 'Crazy Dash'.
Heart to Heart
I try to comfort Gus and offer a listening ear as I pay him for the ride.
Ride Ends
As we arrive at my destination, Gus brushes off my attempt to talk to him and the ride ends.
