"Rapunzel, Rapunzel,
let down your hair!"

In this Rapunzel book, the story very closely resembles the classic grimm story and is accompanied by sprawling, quirky illustrations.

Rapunzel's parents anticipate her being born and are so excited.

Rapunzel's father goes to steal some rapunzel for his pregnant wife.

Rapunzel's mother spies the rapunzel plant in a garden through the window.

The fairy, who the garden belongs to, catches him and says he can take the rapunzel if he promises to trade the baby once she was born.

The fairy comes to collect Rapunzel.

Rapunzel is kept in a tall tower.

Rapunzel had splendid long hair.

A prince finds out about Rapunzel and discovers how to get into the tower.

Rapunzel meets the prince and he starts visiting routinely, in secret.

The Fairy finds out about the prince and gets so upset that she cuts off Rapunzel's long hair.

Rapunzel is cast out into the wilderness and her severed braid is hung from the window.

When the prince comes again, the Fairy pushes him out of the window into a bed of thorns.

Rapunzel and the prince are reunited and her tears heal his blindness from his fall.

Rapunzel and the prince are married and rule his kingdom where they live happily ever after.
